run2work, who want to help 1 million more people get active and running by 2020, has launched a petition (http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/uk-government-department-of-transport-make-running-to-work-tax-free-like-cycling-to-work) for the Government to introduce legislation to enable employers to offer employees tax-free running shoes and equipment.

British 10,000 metre champions Vernon and Thompson lead Bupa London 10,000

Andy Vernon (handicap -6.6) and Chris Thompson (handicap -6.3) first and second respectively at the recent British 10,000 metres championships in Highgate, will lead 17,200 registered runners across the start line of the Bupa London 10,000, for the 3rd race in the Grand Prix, on Sunday morning on a course that starts on The Mall and heads along the Embankment into the City of London, taking in many of the capital's most iconic landmarks, before returning to Westminster for a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace.
